OCA election results

Why aren't the election results posted on the official OCA website? It appears that it has not been updated in quite a long time.

Why don't you volunteer to run the website?

Interesting question. The June issue of JWO, which just arrived in my mailbox yesterday, says the election results will appear in the July issue.

If you actually want to know the results, they were posted elsewhere on this site. I think the info was taken from a Facebook posting.

You can't let it go can you? You already know the results and this is a backhanded comment from you. It's just another slap @ Jerry Wilson and the rest of the OCA board members you and your gang despise. Give it up Ed,it's over.

Mike, his reply to me when I complained about OCA, why don't I run.

Now he's complaining about the website I thought I'd return the favor.

Just thinking that any member of OCA would feel better if the official relay of information concerning the club were to be posted on the clubs website. If it isn't going to be kept up to date, why even pay to keep it. And I don't know enough about being a webmaster to do it myself. Surely you don't think all members of OCA are members of this site too. Yes, I know the results of the voting, but there again, I am a member of here as well as other Olds sites, but none of these are officially afiliated with OCA.

Your frustrations with the web site should not be new ones.

Not sure if this is the first time you have spoken up about it. I happen consider better now than it was under the prior administration. Maybe you never looked at it in the past? I mean years back.

With new of ficers, who i hope are inclined to collectively raise the bar, you should expect to see improvements once the voted out officers are no longer in place.

You could put a motion before the Board to invest in the website ? I would suggest in years past the notion of social media and being transparent via electronic media would have been undermined as it wasnt understood by some of the more vocal and seasoned officers.

Just dont hang the lack of info on the website to the current administration. Its always been underwhelming.

Speaking of that, you should talk to some about the reluctance to use Facebook ......

Pete, I know the website has been lacking for many years, not just recently. I do hope the current guys do something about it, I know the last group just ignored it and possibly hoped it would go away. As far as using Facebook, it is a personal choice to not post any personal information about me or my family on anything world wide. No reason, just my choice. I have a brother-in-law who is a PI and a computer forensic expert. He uses Facebook all of the time and has some horrific stories about some attempts to glean information from his site and others that he has cases on. So it is my preference to stay off. If information isn't available, it can't be compromised.
