Just wanted everyone to know that the Macadoo (McAvoy) clan is okay. But Washington Illinois, about a half hour from us, was hit hard by the tornadoes today. Hundreds of homes destroyed, up to sixty people injured with one fatality so far. We had winds at our place close to 80 MPH but no significant damage. Been without power since late morning (in the country that means no water) but reports say it will be back sometime tomorrow. Right now it pops on for about fifteen minutes and disappears again.
Again, please send healing vibes to the folks in Washington, Il.

 

Prayers to all the folks out in Illinois and Indiana, Kentucky. The storms are just reaching our area here in Ohio. So far just pretty strong winds and rain. Lightening off in the distance. Most of the heavy stuff is still to the west of us, in the Cleveland area. We've been under a tornado watch for hours. They're saying there is rotation up in the clouds. We don't have a basement, so I'm heading to the hallway closet if it gets bad!! Be safe, all.

 

We spent some time in the basement today. If you're getting what we got, plan to take cover. And park your Olds inside. The neighboring town, ten miles away, had apple size hail!

Glad to hear you are ok. We got hail up here and some tree knockd down but nothing compared to what they got in central il. My thoughts and prayers are with those people.

My bro-in-law is in Washington and sis-in-law is in Pekin; both fine, by the grace of God. (Mom-in-law and other sis-in-law are in Peoria.) Hope you guys are hanging in there~~
