I hope everyone in the DFW area managed to escape the wrath of mother nature!! Luckily all we got here in the Bury was a bit of small hail and an inch of rain.

 

Glad to hear you are ok! I was wondering about our Dallas area friends and hoping all faired the storm well!! What a horrible thing.....

 

I worked from home yesterday and I am glad!
There were 12 or so twisters surrounding the metroplex but in my area I only got lots of rain, some pea-sized hail, tornado warnings, but no wind.
I live on the corner of 3 cities and the tornado sirens in all three were going off, wailing in random ways. I went out and made a recording of it - made for a VERY spooky tune, with the rain and loud thunder rolliing continuously, along with muffled sound of a crying dog.
I wish there was away to attach that sound file here...

This was just one - a big nasty one at that...
I hope to see a tornado with my own eyes some day, just at a distance!

 

When I was watching live feed and 18 wheeler trailers thrown 80 foot in the air this was my face.

 

Someone had a mangeled trailer land in their house - saw it on TV but cannot find an online picture... The trailer was bent partially in half - from side to side, NOT front to back!

 

And let's all be grateful there were no fatalities and no known serious injuries. A miracle indeed.

 

My boss is in Dallas. They missed him...Darn...Just kidding. He did say it was pretty wild.

 

That was certainly a crazy video. I was watching channel 8 when the trailers starting flying. It looked like something straight out of a movie... The devastation in Forney looks awful. Just glad no one was hurt...

 

I live just north of White Rock Lake. Lots of rain but, no hail. I was eating a late lunch and put down my sandwich when the trailers starting flying. <- at seeing flying trailers not putting down a sandwich. Some areas got hit really hard.

 

Oldcutlass, my Dad says the Granbilly can use the rain, but I hope the hail didn't damage any cars.

 

There were some areas that had car windows pounded out completely, but in the pics I saw, no Olds' were hurt.
We can always use the rain. However, i wish it would get spread thoughout the year, instead of all the short, infrequent frog-stranglers we get...

 

It was small hail here in Granbury, I don't think it was large enough to damage cars. I was at work when it came though and parked my car under the awnings with the previously enjoyed cars. We saw it coming and gathered up all of our inventory and parked it under cover.

We installed the awnings a few years back after a really bad round of hail storms that damaged about 400 cars on the lot which made for a huge insurance claim. We found that the insurance reduction paid for the awnings and one replacement down the road. Better safe than sorry.

I saw on the news that some areas really got hammered and mt heart goes out to them!

 

Glad I was not working for Sewell anymore. I would have had to move 500+ cars into the warehouse down the street.

All good in Carrollton, but yesterday we had to have all the people at work cram into the bathrooms for a while - there was some serious rotation directly above us

 

And to think - that twister tossing the semi's was only classified as an F2!!
Wow...
The biggest one in that outbreak was in Forney - an F3.

 

That on was a 3, according to the news.
