Robbie Robertson dead of prostate cancer at 80. Garth Hudson is the only Band member left.

Lot of people blamed Robertson for breaking up The Band. I hated it too but they lasted longer than many. And not many can claim to be Bob Dylan's backing band.

 

One of my favourite bands growing up. Sorry to hear, but many of the older band members are leaving us. RIP Robbie.

I own a copy of Music from Big Pink & a bootleg copy of Great White Wonder & The Basement Tapes all on cassette from 3rd &/or 4th generation soundboards I traded for when I was a tape trader (for 40+ yrs). RIP Robbie

 

We are all getting older. Definitely a unique one of one. Something today's "music" world lacks so hard.
