Humanity

I am not posting this for any kind of recognition etc.

It has been overly hot here in Denver. I was heading home from taking care of my Pop's. I saw a guy passed out in his wheelchair. Vietnam Vet flag flying. I couldn't leave him there. I went around the the block. I woke him up. Asked where he needed to be. Twenty blocks away. I pushed him all the way to his place. Walked back to my car and it was still sitting there running.

Give a blank about people.

Wore me out. I am 55 years old. He was dazed. I kept walking and walking. I too was in a wheelchair after a bad car accident. I couldn't just let him sit there in the heat.

He kept saying you don't have to do this. I kept slapping his shoulder saying that's why I am here. People helping people.

I couldn't leave him there. It was awesome. He kept telling me that I didn't have to do this. Yes I did. That's who I am. I wish more people cared.

I drove by him thinking how long as he been sitting there. So many fools drove by and could give an F . 90 + degree heat? I have no idea how long he was sitting there. Who cared? Nobody. Leave it up to the Longhair. I wish I could have done more.

My point with this post is for all of us to give a **** about each other. We are All different. That is what makes America America. Give a ****. We are all in the same boat.

God bless you. Vietnam vets are the least appreciated vet of all time. Thank you.
I spoke with his wife and she was a bit angry about it. When she came back out of the bank he wasn't there and she spent 4 hours looking for him.

It was crazy. So many people just drove by. Head down. Hot as hell. Anyone stop and check on him? Come on people. Give a crap about each other.

Go do good today. 👍

Not at all. Just injecting a little humor. I can't tell you how much I appreciate what you did and wish there were a lot more considerate souls such as you. I am of vietnam age, but didn't go. My draft number was only a couple higher than called that year. My brother did go and is suffering because of it. Agent orange has caused him multiple problems. Cancer twice. The last time he had a port in his chest and head. He ain't no fortunate one- He ain't no senators son. I'm glad you gave the man the respect he deserves.

You may very well have saved his life, as he could've died from heat stroke sitting there... Great job man!

I am telling you. It was super hot. 90+. He was slumped over. Passed out. I drove by and couldn't let him be. Really crazy to me how many people probably saw him that way and just kept moving on. I expected a short push honestly ha ha. There was a tall hill I had to push him up. I told him hey hold on I am hitting this hill running. Ha ha. He told me that was the fastest that his chair had ever been. Oldsmobile horsepower ha ha.

Wore this old man out.🥵

So by the way. Thank you to everyone for the support. My point for this thread was to remind people to give a crap. Be good out there people. Be thankful for what you have. 🙏
