And I was just considering buying his new album - it just came out about 2 days ago.
A bit of a d*%k personally, and had a habit of taking ideas from less famous musicians, but still a brilliant musician, artist, and performer, and a social ground breaker.

A shame he is dead, undoubtedly he had talent and vision in abundance.
I was surprised by the extent of the reaction to the news in the UK, I haven't seen a similar outpouring of grief and media coverage since the late John Lennon was killed.

First time I started to listen to David Bowie was in the 80's with China Girl and Modern Love..I never really appreciated his music until I listened to Ziggy Stardust and watching some great Videos from back in the day. I bet his concerts would have been a Blast to go to! I also read some time ago his Real Name was Davey Jones but changed it in the 60's so not to be confused with the Davey Jones from the Monkeys. And he was coined the Andronious Bi-sexual man from Mars..I always thought he had great talent except for the Video Dancing in the Streets with Mick Jagger.. They are Both great talent but that was a strange Video MTV used to play three times an hour.They should have done much more together with all the talent combined.

Terrible loss to rock music. One of the worst in my lifetime. Up there with Lennon, Garcia & Zappa.*F*in cancer! More talent in his pinky than Jay Z, Kanye and Green Day combined.
Been playing his stuff non stop since I got the news. Brilliant artist and unmatched performer. His concerts were mind blowing events. The spectacle, the artistry and always had top notch musicians in his bands.
Crank up "Rebel Rebel" and pay the man his due respect.
