Anyone remember the 61 Dynamic 88 bubbletop Yahoo had built a few years back?

Of all places, that car showed up at a cruise night in Chatham VA tonight. Guy who owns it is living up on Smith Mountain Lake near Roanoke now and brought the car out.

Gotta say it's a stunner. I thought Yahoo was gonna change the drivetrain but it still has the 2-barrel 394 and HydraMatic. Guy had the engine rebuilt last year when he was still in California, as apparently all Yahoo had done was clean/reseal/paint the engine. It cracked rings on two pistons forcing the rebuild.

Enjoyed talking with the guy. A 66 Delta 88 convertible showed up too; those folks are new to the area from Ohio. And a GM-powered 1933 Oldsmobile streetrod.

I took the wagon as I'd been using it all day, so there were four Oldsmobiles. Rumour is someone in town is doing a 63 Starfire which I have never seen.

 

He bought that car out of Minnesota, I think. Possibly Missouri. It has more miles on a transporter than on it's odometer!
