Who else is very hot besides me?

Just came back inside after setting up water for irrigating the nursery. Totally drenched in sweat. At noon told everybody working for me finsh up what your doing and sent them home early. Hope this breaks soon with some rain. 98 degrees in the shade and must be 98% humidity.

I spent the last two days putting up split rail fence 92 on Wed and 98 Thur.
in Michigan! As we all know that the soil was terrible easy to dig after two weeks without rain and over exisiting drive.

HAH (hot as hell) here in TX, too, no rain in sight.
Been 100+ for a week now. Had 106 for the highest.
This is when the forcast is just a copy-n-paste until September.
We have about 3-4 hours of tolerable temps inthe morning but then the humidity is higher.
I began my summer hibernation last Saturday. In another month I will be pretty irritable... Even worse when you are layed off from work.

Currently 103 degrees in Southern Vajenya. We've broken heat records all over the place. Forecast says it will be like this thru Wednesday. Fingers crossed the A/C at the house doesn't break.

Jeepers, I feel bad that here I am complaining about windy and cool all the time. So, Rob - John and I picked out the perfect nest for ya in OR. Close to the squatch pit. John has offered to help both of us relocate close by and fill our barns with collectible olds parts/cars....

From the sounds of it, you wouldn't need a fire down there to have a pig roast.

BTW, keep an eye on your mail next week. Your parcel should be there soon.

We've cooled down to the high nineties here in Colorado after setting some records early in the week. We could use a lot of rain, half the state is on fire and hundreds have lost their homes in Colorado Springs.

I have been out of work for the past month so I have been at home for a long time now. The first 3 weeks were nicer and I could go out and work on projects, but for the past week it's been too hot to do anything after 10am. Worst yet is that this stupid weather pattern will be around for the next 2 months!
If airfare and car rentals were not such a ripoff during the summer, I would fly out to the northwest. Maybe I should try to drive out there and stay a while!!

With the heat index it's been in the high 90's to about 104 or so. Not good for a suit and tie....Going to Northern Michigan for the 4th. It should be a bit cooler up there. If not my folks are on beautiful Burt Lake.

Come on over to the west coast. It was offically announced coldest, least sunshine for the month of June on record. I think we hit over 70F 3 times this month. Rained everyday but 6 and one day it was 49*F at 6:00am. Here I was looking forward to a little global warming.

It was 108 in Vegas yesterday. I know, "its a dry heat." But I had to wear a full suit and tie all day. It WAS NOT a dry heat inside my suit.

At the end of July when it gets over 115, I don't care if its a frigin dry heat, that is HOT.

105 Here in Houston, and 98% humidity. I am replacing head gaskets and have completely changed my schedule around. I am still sweating my *** off all night and sleeping during the day. It was 89 degrees last night while I was painting my engine.

Just had the wettest June since the 1800s here, it warmed up to a sweltering 75 degrees this week, and that's when my fiances A/C quit.

But £50 later she has a car again, and I got the guy to check out my Olds - the A/C never worked - and all I need is a new compressor.
I can wait until I visit your wonderful country again in the fall, $200 at an American auto parts store or £300 from a specialist supplier over here makes for a no brainer choice for me.

Roger.

Last night a line of thunderstorms ripped through the area. Did a bunch of damage. I spent 2 1/2 hours(along with everbody else that was working) standing up all the plants that got blown over, probably a couple thousand plants. When I get home I get to put back up some siding that blew off the house last night. Fun Fun Probably will be over 100 as it is on the southside of the house in the sun. Oh well it could be worse I guy down the road is going to spend the day cutting a large tree off of his house and truck.

Grandma always told me the first hundred years are the hardest!

Stay cool

I heard NoVA, DC and MD got whacked with that line of storms. Bottom edge of it blew thru here last night about 10 with 60-70 mph straight-line winds. No damage here in town other than a yard full of twigs and leaves, but electric and phone are out at my homeplace 20 miles east. Getting ready to go out there and see what damage there is. Neighbor out there told me when it hit, his whole house shook hard enough to get him out of bed.

It is 103 degrees by my outside thermometer right now (noon). Its sensor is under the front porch, out of the sun.

It's 93 here right now. There were storms in several areas around here last night, too. We didn't get anything in our area. It was cloudy and a few light sprinkles early today, but the sun came out about 10:30 and it got hot. There's a little breeze and it doesn't feel all that humid. I feel for the folks without power though, in this heat.

It was 98 degrees here yesterday. We had a strong storm yesterday night with 60 mph winds. There are a few big tree limbs that fell around my house. We lost electricity last night and got it back on this morning. I heard there are a lot of people still without power in the area.

Got my siding backup this afternoon. Few clouds so it was only in the upper 80's but still hot when you are going up and down ladders.

I will NOT post a pic of myself. I am not going to be the cause of all the computers crashing world wide. Your quote is worthless without pics. I will congratulate you on 33 years. I'm only at 22 and yes she is still good looking.

Ah, the joys of failing vision or misplaced eyeglasses.

I'm not one to criticize. The last 36 years have been kind to my wife and myself as well. Who wants to be another Dick Clark? (RIP)

Not sure if that pic fits forum rules...? I can admire it, but if there were kids in the room, I couldn't let them see that. Maybe we should both take down the pics?

Good thought.

I fixed it.

But I think your concern about the appropriateness of this photo with kids in the room might still apply!

Yes, that's true IF they actually knew what "I did NOT have SEX with that woman" means!! It would be like going to a gas station serving only e85 and saying "I did NOT put GAS in my car" semantics. Now, Mr. President - can you please define "Gas"?

Isn't it amazing that most leaders take office and have color in their hair; and within years of taking office it's gone grey/white or 'salt n peppa'? Hillary and Bill have changed a LOT since that pic was taken. He's now 66 and she's 65.
Back 'then'

Now they are both looking a lot worse for wear. I think the politics of politics has shown some nasty physical side effects.

Monica Lewinsky still seems to have something to smile about even in 2012
