Hi,

Im living in Germany and here it is very difficult to get good burger buns.
I tought of buying some in the USA or baking them by myself.

Really? I was just in Germany for a week early last month, and it seems that every restaurant we went into had a large section of the menu devoted to hamburgers. In fact, Germany is the home of a city called Hamburg!

I would think that hamburger buns would be a German delicacy.

Just what I was thinking. With so many good Backerei. (Bakeries), I would think you could find some good buns to use.

I always use Kaiser buns, readily available at any bakery, at least in North America. I'm guessing you guys might have them too.

Yeah, I would find one that makes good soft pretzels and ask them to make me a bunch of pretzel buns using the same dough. Mmmmm.

Sure you can find some good Burgers in Restaurants but if you want to buy buns in the Supermarket you will just find crappy ones. They smell and feel like toast bread.

If youre in Regensburg i can recommend Kullmans Diner or in Munich the Cosmo Grill if you want to eat good burgers but this are diners they do not sell buns.

I searched last night for some buns to buy and recipes and found some interesting ones, i think i will buy some first and if i do not like them i will bake some.

I guess i will try

Arnold Hamburger Buns
PEPPERIDGE FARM HAMBURGER SANDWICH BUNS WITH SESAME SEEDS
KING'S HAWAIIAN HAMBURGER BUNS SWEET BREAD
Martin's 12 Sliced Potato Rolls

Cause they deliver to germany and they are rated very good.
There are more for sure but i can not get all here at my location.
Excpecially the Kings Hawaiian and Martins are rated very good, so they might be what i want.
