Went to Austin to visit an old friend today.
Haven't seen him in a few years and he called to say he had been
to North Texas to pick up a couple of cars. A few Oldsmobiles too.
Had to do the selfie thing, lol.

He is coo-coo for verts. Even the 68 Wildcat is a vert. Console shift car too.
I think 2 more under the tarps are 442 verts, all are fairly rough
interior wise, but the metal on them is in very good shape.
Almost all of the jewelry is in the trunks of most of them.
He isn't going to touch them(he says), until the titles are recovered.
When he gets that settled, he will be selling most of them. The 68 vert
with the 66 console and his 300 are two of his toys he will be keeping. The Catalina vert
and the others will be sold with the exception of his skylarks and the 69 442.
Here are a few more that didn't get posted earlier.

turn arounds, cars, trucks, whatever he can make a buck on.
He does have a soft spot for the Oldsmobiles and Buicks as you can see.

Amazing, you southern guys got it made for old cars. Everything over 15 years old around here is rusty rat sh*t. I have room around my place to keep old cars but they rust as they go. I have a 72 cutlass supreme that I parked 10-12 years ago on my field and you should see it now. Complete Flintstone mobile- no floor boards left. Even the top has holes you could throw a cat thru.

I grew up on the Chesapeake Bay. cars literally were rusting on the dealers lots. Any car over 3. Yrs old was looking at lower quarter repair. X 2 on befriending the Op's friend if he needs one

Got a call from my bud in Austin the other day. He would like me to come and give him a hand with the assembly on some of these. Do that and take one. Holy crap, my wife is gonna kill me.... On the other hand, what a guy!

Just rolled in guys. Took a lot of pics but forgot to put the freaking card in, dammit.
Geeze Louise, wtf. Anyway the Catalina had been sitting since 79, it was a 63 by the way not a 67. About an hour or so and varoom, 1 sticky valve, it may clear up, had some blowby, 326 2bbl, easy peasy.
Next, 70 442 vert, 455, had been sitting in a barn for 26 yrs. Missing some stuff,
took a little longer, the carb float was stuck, rats had chewed some wires, had to pull the top off the carb, replace a few wires and Varoom, I had pics of the crap that blew out the tailpipes, I love that kinda stuff, ha ha. Man that engine ran smooth, smooth. I'm really upset with myself about the camera, I wanted to share pics. My pick is a 70 442 hardtop bucket seat car that is going to need some work, I will get it cheap if I want it.
Has a 455 block W/400 turbo, fairly complete, not very rusty with tilt. W-Z's and I hope posi, not sure, I was pretty tired when I stuck my head under there looking for a tag, I didn't see one but you never know. About 11:30 a fella showed up with BBQ and tater salad and yum, great with the icy beer, we had to stay hydrated right? I'm tired but it
was a good time. And I only skinned one knuckle!
I will be going back, I took him my 70 driver door with electric window and the rest of the regulators for the other 3 glasses and harness that he wanted.
Pickup up my W manifold and dust cover and a few other things I had been on the hunt for, so yeah, a good day.

Gee, usually I have to remind Eric to take his camera. Now someone else...what's going on here? Usually a digital camera will tell you there's no card inserted so you don't make that mistake.....
