Trying to locate user and car

Good morning everybody! I am trying to locate the current owner of a 1969 Oldsmobile Cutlass, that I used to own. It has changed hands several times. From what I have been able to gather it was sold a few years back, to a person with the handle "L69". Previous owner was Jon Bailey. Mr Bailey said it went to L69 somewhere in Conn. I am looking to re-purchase this vehicle as I am in a position to do so now and hopefully someone can help. If you know the user "L69" or if you know where the 1969 Cutlass is located please let me know, or have the owner contact me. This would be a great help and I would be very appreciative if I could locate and re-purchase this car. Thanks for any help.

Dave

Can you tell us anything more about the car, VIN, model, color, etc?

See this thread for some info on the car, I don't believe I still have the VIN anymore.

honestly, I've been scouring my.old records and haven't come up with anything besides one really.old picture I had tucked away.

The thread post that Jon linked has way better pics. I'll continue looking for a VIN, and keeping my fingers crossed that I can make progress in locating the car.

Oldcutlass regarding your post #15, the OP acknowledged my post #2 on June 8 (post #6). Unless I'm not connecting the dots, the OP should be onboard?

Actually it is the same car. Sithfather is a previous owner to me, I just posted a more recent and clearer picture of the car for help. Last I knew it was in Connecticut, but from what L69 has told me he has lost track of it, as he sold it shortly after he got it from me. He may be able to help a little, but he made it sound like he didn't know where it was last I talked to him.

My bad. I don't know where I thought I saw a post car. Maybe I got my threads confused. My apologies.

To answer an earlier question, I haven't been contacted from anyone, other than Jon, and after reading through some of the later posts, I'm assuming that the owner after Jon has also sold it as well.
I still can't give up hope yet, hopefully somebody will be able to re-connect me with the car. Fingers crossed!

Sorry for absence lately I'm still in the military and I'm constantly busy. I did email L69 but haven't heard anything back yet. Jon69 was the only contact I've had since I sold the car years ago. He's been a great help so far! Keeping my fingers crossed!

sithfather91899 Wow, I hope you find it. I never heard back from Sal either. My plan was to buy it from Jon and use it, instead of a ring, to propose to my girl. I would've given it right back to you the OG owner. Best of luck. PS still looking for a 69-71 to propose with. "Gold 69 Cutlass SFrom bentleyrb April 27th, 2018 06:49 PMHi Sal,I hope you are well and still enjoying Jon's old cutlass. I had been watching it for a while and still regret not grabbing it both times he put it up. In the unlikely event you ever get tired of it please give me 1st dibs and let me know...I've had an interesting dream/plan for it."

Last I talked to Sal, the car has been sold to someone in CT I believe, that was planning on turning it into a W-31 Clone, other than that i know nothing, he didn't even have the guys contact info. He has been through a lot.
