Your welcome!
During WWII, Oldsmobile supplied motor parts (Rolls Royce type) for the P-51 Mutangs.

Great story. What a deserving tribute. These Greatest Generation are fading fast at the rate of 1,000 a day. Let's remember to say "Thank You" to all of them when we have the chance/

Darn - that's only 15 minutes from my house. Wish I'd known about it.

Well Eric, PM me, and maybe we can pay MR Sheppard a vist.
He is only 5 minutues from my Dad's automotive air condtioning shop in South Portland.
Or better yet the three of us MUSTtake a trip to Casco and vist Skip Watkins and see his Oldsmobiles!
Every time I talk to Jim, he tells me THE BEST CAR HE EVER OWNED was his brown 1980 Olds Toronado!

A tid bit Jim told me at the big rig truck show at Owl's Head, last July.
There was one Tuskgee Airmen that is/was a Portland, Maine naive. He is still alive living in MAss. I think he has the same name as my friend from Raymond, who was the general manger at Chaplin Olds/Cadilliac(Conloy;Classic Olds)
.
