So how about this?

I think this is comparing apples to oranges. 230 mpg? What about an all electric car, how would they measure it's efficiency?

Everything I've read so far is very vague as to how they arrived to that 230 MPG number. And, as you suggest, I'm not so sure how much it really matters as we go into the realm of alternative energy sources.... Miles per gallon.... Miles per Kilowatt/hr.... Miles per hour of unobstructed solar radiation at or below the 40th parallel between 10 AM and 2 PM....

You can be as green as you want, but what's the true cost to operate one of these things?

Well, at least every few years you'll be looking at the equivalent of replacing approximately 90 car batteries. Aren't old batteries bad for the environment??
