Sick week happening....

I was watching. I just put a thread in Racing. That saffron 67 went 10.88 as a best, but has a bunch of 11s posted and he's running DYO.
The silver 65 looks "too fast" to be Olds powered at 7.50, unless its a Rocket BBO. Darce Laws, anyone know him?

No racing today, so they'll have plenty of time to work on it.
I want to be like the guys that hit all of them. Independent wealth would help greatly. I can see the headline now "Lottery Winner Squanders Millions Doing Drag and Drive Events"

Action is 2-8e today.
Both cars are in this chart. OLDSMOBILE is too long for the field so just 'e' shows for brand, 442 for model. I gather without my glasses the '65 must have some problems. The 67 runs seems as expected.
EDIT: All the pink fields are dropouts

I watched the awards last night. Frieburger and Finnegan gave the Firebird away to a daughter that was playing crew chief to her dad. Hits right in the feels.
I don't understand the 8.50 cap on some of the classes. And, that goes the same for 10.0 in some aspects. I need a 12.0 class. It's not the fastest, but I'm also not going to cut up a real 442 for a cage. Most of my hackery can be undone if it ever goes full restoration.

I think the 8.50 was a 'bulls eye' category. Some of the entrants got very close such as 8.52 and still road drivable per the other rules.
The silver 65 TT BBC knocked off a mid seven second pass at the very end, really hauling. The 67 ran about like iron Olds powered 65-7 have been running for 50 years. Nice to see a olds powered car in the mix anyway. The event providing free VP fuel and free nitrous fills within a window of competition was great. M/T was providing free tire work, as well as having tires available at the tracks.
Glad no one got badly hurt.

There were a bunch of 8.50s- 235, 275, street race..... basically anything in B class. A was quicker than 8.49, B was 8.50-9.99, and C was 10.0 and slower. Bull's Eye was a random 2 numbers after the decimal point each day.

OK got it - I missed them. Coudln't watch it wall to wall but had it on most of the time.
The Tesla crapping out at the very end last run was outstanding. Man that Chet guy the driver was going ape, he will hear about that forever.
