Red neck get togeather

The first Saturday of the month the thriving medorpolis of Capay (population less than a hundred) puts on a just for fun no awards and damn few spectators (about 90% owners), non advertised, word of mouth get together. It's a red neck bring what you built good or bad no mater how ugly car show and breakfast. Some interesting rides show up. Good times had by all. Here are a few shots I took when I remembered I had a camera.... Tedd

Lawn Chairs? We don't need no stinkin' lawn chairs

By the way not a lawn chair in sight.... Tedd[/QUOTE]

Well, if its a real 'redneck' car show them as comes likely brings stumps to sit on....if they have any that aren't holding up their 'project' cars.

One of my favorite Summer things is to line up two or three small town car shows that most people would pass up and visit each of them over a weekend. People are friendly, cars are usually new to me and people who live there are happy to tell you about other local attractions you'd never hear about otherwise.

For those like me who have never heard of Capay -

Caypay (Ka-Pay), CA: Capay is located on the Mexican land grant Rancho Canada de Capay. Was originally named Munchville after one of the first white settlers, a man named Munch, who built a house on the Cache Creek at the site in 1857. Mr. Empyre and Mr. Munch built a two-story building in the area. A post office opened in Capay in 1868.

The town acquired the name Langville after John A. Lang. In 1870 Lang operated a hotel and owned a brick yard and a store. Langville grew enough to have a town plat filed on January 1, 1875, which renamed the town as Capay.
