These are great value cars, My brother had a G8 Sports wagon (just traded it for a new VF Calais V 6ltr) and im about to trade my 2012 Holden ute. The ute did 100,000kms in 2 yrs without a single hiccup. You have a great value and fun cars there !

Trade them both in on a GXP version. Only then will you be satisfied.

The GXP's are still big bucks considering they are almost 6 years old. I got the pair of these G8's for a little more than the price of 1 GXP. I think we will hang onto the 2 we have for a little while.

Welcome again to the evil world of LS motors.
Hmmm, maybe a 6.0 or 6.2 with a T56 is worth considering for your Olds?:-)

One of the few newer GM vehicles that aren't plain ugly. It was between the Challenger and G8, picked the Challenger.

I've had my White Hot, 09 G8 GT since new. Just could not justify the extra $8 grand for the GXP. But they are a really cool piece. Mine now has about 65,000 miles. Only complaint is the "check engine light" coming on if the gas cap works its way loose. Enjoy!

I have heard of the gas cap issue on the G8 forum, to my understanding they were recalled with replacements at no cost. The ignition key appears to be the next recall.
The GXP continues to hold its value, the are a cool ride, I had to buy 2 G8's because my wife really wanted one, so I had to go with the V6. Have to keep the wife happy ya know. Good to hear you have had good luck with your GT.

I'd like a challenger as well, but I'm running out of space and $$$$ LOL.

The olds is a keeper, not to mention I couldn't sell it for much more than a 1/3 of what I have into it on a good day . I think I have more into my olds than I do in the two G8's lol. Not to mention a 455 coming in the spring. Ouch!!

From what I understand the 09 GT's were 45K plus gas guzzler tax etc up here in Canada and the GXP's were 52k plus. This is what I gather on the G8 forum. They are holding value considering the age of them. The V6 base model with leather interior etc are still pushing 18k up here with low Klms, plus warranty and tax its 24k. I 'm really happy with the 2 we purchased with the B2B 200,000klm no time limit warranty. I hope we have good luck with them.

Mine stickered for $33,640 usd. No sunroof or 19' wheels. Didn't want either. The base GXP was $40,000 usd. But most had options plus the Gas Guzzler tax pushing them over. I traded a 2006 base G6 no option car plus $20,840 out the door for the new G8 GT with 7 miles on the odo. Five months later Pontiac Motor Div. was dead.

I like the license plate on the black G8. Is that a reference to Donald S. Cherry from Coach's Corner?
