Ozempic Olds?

I woke up this AM and was watching the news 1/2 asleep. I normally block out commercials, but this one caught my eye because Billy Gardell was in it. Then this red...what I thought was a 1969 442 'vert was in the background. The car had W stripes on the hood. It went to turn around and park. I'm thinking " Please don't let it have stripes on the trunk" Boom! "Nice Chevelle!" I think this was the commercial, I haven't watched it again, yet.

Deck stripes and a wing (with third brake light) on a ‘69 vert. Well I suppose the owner likes it. To each their own.

No emblems. To be fair to the ad people, they probably just called for "mid life crisis convertible" for the script.

My wife and I started watching some show last night on Netflix about two women cops. One of them identifies the suspects car as a 69 Impala. The other one is amazed and the first responds "I know my cars". The car is a 65 Impala. Man they had some good writers on that show. The show went downhill from there and we looked for another show shortly thereafter.

Billy owns the 69 in the commercial... He was on Jay Leno's Garage...

I take it back. My mistake.

There ARE emblems on the car, they got airbrushed out in the ad. I guess to not pay GM royalties?

Pharmaceuticals always makes me think of the parody "Libyan on a Jet Plane."

There's so many times we've crashed and burned,
Seems like the colonel would finally learn
Our Russian jets don't make good submarines.
We fly out to protect our nation,
And use seat bottoms for floatation.
The water's warm, and we're good swimmers too.

So kiss me and smile for me,
Call my folks in Tripoli,
Tell them that Khadafi made me go.
I'm a Libyan on a jet plane,
I don't know if I'll be back again.
Muammar, I hate to go.

Aircraft carrier J.F.K.
Come to blow our chemical plant away,
But we keep telling them it's just pharmaceutical.

So miss me and pray for me,
Bow down to the East for me,
Kneel and gently kiss my butt good-bye.
I'm a Libyan on a jet plane,
Don't know if I'll be back again.
Libyan on a jet plane,

I am glad that you and your family have benefited from them. As with anything there is good and bad. The access to drugs that will kill you is way too simple. My Mother took a drug called RELAFIN for less than three days for arthritis. Prescribed to her. Took her liver OUT in three days.. she never drank. Didn't do anything unhealthy. Out like a light. Accountability? Never. That's my issue. I know some do help I get that. I am thankful for that. Me personally take synthetic anything? I really hope not.

By the way. There is another ad with I think a 71 442 ragtop. I will try and figure out what it is.

My wife was watching TV last night and saw that same commercial. she was like "babe! babe! its your car!" If I'm not mistaken, it was a 69 Cutlass vert because it didn't have the 442 grill. but I think I was half asleep so not too sure. Pretty cool either way though..

Yep, its for another "ask your doctor about" pill, kid and grandpa changing tires etc. Have you seen the Pontiac Lemans or GTO convertible with a white interior and black headrests? It's in one of those commercials also. Oh, now I'm on a roll! Have you guys seen the commercials where the person is trying to do something and are doing it wrong? The one gal is painting a mural with a big house painting brush, another gal is attempting to hammer a nail, and my favorite- a guy is using a adjustable cresent wrench on top of a old Mopar engine! They don't worry too much about accuaracy!!

Ozempic Oldsmobile

The Oldsmobile in the ad is a 1969 Oldsmobile Cutlass, not a 442. You can tell by the grille. I have a 1970 Cutlass, and I know Oldsmobiles pretty well.

1969 Cutlass 442 with W30

I had this exact car without the W30 spoiler and white accents. Definitely 1969. Definitely Olds Cutlass.
