I am an investor in a pet food co-op manufacturing company, called Grandma Mae's, that supplies dog and cat foods to independent pet retailers. Grandma Mae's Country Naturals has entered a contest in which 20 small businesses each will receive a grant of $100,000 from Chase Bank. Winning this grant would allow us to expand our line of Grain Free formulas, strengthen our promotions and improve our marketing. Because Grandma Mae's is only sold in independent pet retail stores, winning this grant would also help hundreds of other small businesses.
