I've seen a bunch of old cars with trees growing through them....but thats the biggest one I've ever seen.

Looks like a cottenwood. They are some of the biggest trees around here.

That's equipped with "one-on-the-tree".

I have also seen a few others with the tree option.
It does appear to me to be a "staged" picture though.
Look at the rear tire, it was sitting deeper somewhere else prior to that photo. The grass under the car is pretty short too.

It would be easy to do.
Makes for an interesting photo nonetheless.

Also the tires are still holding air after all those years. And has to be some very good chrome on the bumper.

I see what you guys are pointing out, but as I look at the shadows around the car it looks pretty good. I guess someone is very good with photoshop! John

Jamesbo,
You know that I've always wanted to know how they build those little ships in bottles right? What I want to know now is how they were able to plant such a big tree in the engine compartment of that car without making a dent in the car or disturbing the ground around it. Why, my stars!! Could this be a different version of "the club" to prevent stealing a car??? Do they call it "the tree"? I "wood" say that someone is "branching" out on their own with this idea; maybe even "bark"ing up the wrong "tree"???

This isn't another one of those blonde jokes where she keeps swerving to the left and then to the right to avoid the tree is it? If it was, it didn't work

This is a trick photo.Someone slid the car down over the tree in an effort to fool us!! Actually,if the tree was really growing there, wouldn't the front suspension/crossmember interfere? ---bil

Ah ha! So the photo isn't the trick, the trick is sliding the car over the tree! Must have one heck of a limb compressor...one slide fits all??

There used be be a boneyard near me that really did have a tree that size, growing through the eng. bay of a 57 cheb. The tree actually grew around and enveloped the cradle section, so it is possible. Anyone ever see a tree "suck in" a section of power line or a guide wire?
