Now (July 8) it's another of the most famous actors of the 20th century, Ernest Borgnine.

But, heck, the guy was 95. No one lives forever. We can celebrate his long life and all hope we come close to a life span like that.
He'll probably be most remembered as Commander McHale on McHale's Navy, but he deserves better than that. If you haven't seen him in "Marty" from 1955, put your computer down, go to a video rental store, assuming there are any left, rent it now, and watch it.

I remember Ernest Borgnine in his role on "All quiet on the Western front" - especially when he was talking about incoming mortars. I believe the line was "when you hear that whistle, count to 3" all the while holding up 4 fingers
