I'll be making the trek all the way from Duncan :-D

Ladysmith A&W Cruise tomorrow night, Cobble Hill Show & Shine Saturday morning, Java Jo's Saturday evening then I'll decide if I want to tolerate the crowds and traffic on Sunday lol

I'm not sure if anyone else from here was out and about, but I did see a few Oldsmobiles during my weekend travels.

Friday night was a local cruise, myself in my '71 Cutlass and a friend with his '65 F-85 Convertible made it down. Just as we were rolling out, a '64 F-85 came in and joined for a while. We were both disappointed not to see it at the cruise termination as we don't recall having seen it before.

Saturday was a car show, not related to Deuce Days. The turnout was good, again my '71 and Steve's '65 were present and a '72 W-30 also made an appearance. That evening, three of us (my '71, Steve's '65 and a friends '64 Lemans) made the trip down to Victoria to cruise around a bit, and hang out at one of the regular gatherings, "Java Jo's". Some pretty wicked iron rolling around, I must say! On the way down, I spotted a red '70 Cutlass or 442 going the opposite direction on the highway. While cruising around, I noticed at least a couple 1950 Oldsmobiles (give or take a year) and I'm sure there was a lot more floating around that I didn't cross paths with. I opted not to go back down for the actual show on Sunday...my tolerance for thick crowds declines with my advancing years!

I'm afraid I didn't get photos of most of those cars, but anyone interested in seeing some extensive photos of the Deuce Days activities can find a plethora at http://vihr.ca in the Pictures section. Apparently he took about 7500 photos, but isn't posting "all" of them...but he does have 6 separate galleries posted!

Here's me:

And the other two:

(Not sure why he didn't get/post Steve as well...he's in the background)
