It looks like the current regime has forgotten, I saw the site in New York the April after it happened, you just can’t comprehend the damage until you see it in person
My home town. All New Yorkers and Americans came together! My brother working for Merrill Lynch in the north tower for the first 1993 attack. Merrill Lynch moved to 4 World Financial Center after. He was there on 911. Seeing bodies falling from the two towers. He has nightmares to this day, Today is not about politics, its remembering and never forget!
I will NEVER going to forget what happened. I was home recuperating from a facial surgery from a blown truck tire exploded into my face. My girlfriend at that time, where she lives about 2 hrs away from me wanted to see me. While I was watching the morning news, my tv had an antenna or if you want to call them "rabbit ears", all of the sudden the tv was nothing but static. I thought nothing about it. I thought it was a bad reception. So I changed to the next news channel and all of the sudden it was a "SPECIAL REPORT". The anchor woman said there was an explosion on top of the 1 World Trade Center. From my back window, I seen a heavy black smoke on top of the tower. Nobody didn't know that a plane crashed into the tower. A lot of people thought it was an a/c unit exploded. I tried to call my girlfriend to not to come and see me but she wasn't answering. As time was wasted, I looked out the window and the next thing you know, I seen the second plane crashed into the other tower. I was like HOLY SHT!!! My girlfriend was stuck in traffic for almost 4 hrs. She had no choice but to turn around and go home. She, too, cannot contact me so she called me from a house phone and called my house. When the first plane crashed into the tower, it knocked out the cell phone signal antenna and my tv with the rabbit ears had no signal except if you have cable. I have cable in my living room but not in my bedroom. That's why my girlfriend and I couldn't reach each other. I told her what happen and she didn't believe me. I told her to turn on the news. Every single channel had the news about the tower except for the cartoon channel. As time go by, that's when I seen the towers came crumpling down. I was told that the cell phone antenna was found in the Hudson River. I couldn't see my girlfriend about a month because the city shut down all bridges, tunnels, and subways. There was a heavy strict security check on all cars and trucks whoever enter the city. It was a total nightmare.

I was there that same April...something I'll never be able to forget. Hard to believe its been 20 years already.

I will never forget. My daughter was six. I had just come back to a job the Monday before. I went to the Broncos vs Giants Monday night football game. Ed Macaffery had his leg broken in that game. I thought that would be the news of the day. I had people surrounding me in my office watching on a three inch screen portable Sony AM FM TV. It was tragedy hardcore. Mind blowing. Overwhelming. Nothing but footage twenty four seven. Suddenly Americans cared about each other. So much of people helping people. We need that back people.
