Lol, that first song reminds of my time in the Marine Corps. It's 1985 and I'm doing six weeks in 29 Palms CA. Halfway through we had a long weekend and ended driving to Las Vegas for the weekend. Decided to take the 'short route' through East Bum**** CA. Dirt roads and nothing but sand. A few of the 'towns' looked like that gas station. Empty, barren and so Hitchcock like you wanted to cry. Love it
