Leonard Nimoy Day!

Today would have been Leonard Nimoy's 90 birthday. Since I’m a long time Star Trek fan, I found this interesting.

Since I stopped my newspaper subscription years ago, I failed to notice William Shatners bday this past Monday. I can only hope that when I’m his age (also 90) that I have half his energy!!

Before anyone says anything, I bought my first house at age 20, and my parents didn’t have a basement!!!

Think fast rabbit- what highly regarded TV show did both Shatner and Nimoy appear in before Star Trek?

I am so old that I saw LN and Clint Eastwood in Rawhide which played on TV in Black and White.

I think this was pre Twilight Zone:

Pretty sure they did a few episodes of gun smoke and the man from uncle, just not together.

Didn’t Leonard Nimoy also guest star in a episode of in TJ Hooker?

When Leonard Nimoy died, a local radio show had a call-in contest. They played a Mr. Spock quote from one of the Star Trek movies. Whoever called in and identified the correct movie won the prize. A woman called in and excitedly said "Star Trek eye-vee!" (for Star Trek IV). I didn't know whether to laugh or cry.

The amount of ignorance some functioning people lug around is astonishing.

A good Spock exchange was the following from a TOS episode.

SCOTT: Mister Spock, the Captain, Lieutenant Uhura, and Chekov. they vanished. They got onto the transporter platform and they just vanished.

[Bridge]

SPOCK: I presume you mean they vanished in a manner not consistent with the usual workings of the transporter, Mister Scott.

[Transporter room]

SCOTT: Aye, of course I mean that. You think I'd call if they just beamed down?

I believe the episode was the gamester of..... spell check won’t let me finish!!!

The episode with Angelique Pettyjohn. Some people speculate she was Lady GAGa inspiration for some of her costumes.
