I have been involved with music my whole life, in one way or another. I have a small collection of Brass instruments. Among them, these Prized possessions ... The Slide Trombone and this Trumpet are both made by OLDS

Extended Family.

The Olds Trumpet.

I was searching for Olds car parts a few years ago and found an FE Olds intermediate saxophone just about the time my daughter needed one for school band. I paid $150 for it not realizing that high school band teachers are kind of particular about what brand instruments they allow the kids to play. She knew FE Olds made trumpets but she never had heard of an Olds saxophone so she made my daughter bring it to school and she played it to check it out. Apparently she was pretty impressed with it and my daughter has had it at least four years now.

from what I remembered reading at the time, FE Olds was RE Olds’ brother.
