1.) The GPS isn't working

2.) The HUD seems dim or non-existent

3.) ABS seems faulty

4.) I haven't had a chance to check out the magnetic ride control, but based on other things being bad, I'm just going to assume this is bad also.

5.) I can't locate the TPMS menu

6.) I was told this thing had automatic wipers. You mean I have to locate a switch every time it rains??? That's nuts!

7.) Phone holder with that little spring operated door works great...totally unexpected.

 

Ya I have the same problems, no wonder why Oldsmobile went out of business. My automatic windows don't even work I had to wind them down myself! Also my car only came with a drivers side rear view mirror, what the heck!!

 

Plus, every time I step on the loud pedal, the rear tires make noise!

I thought I was the only one that uses a cassette player for a phone holder!!

 

I think you might also find there are no automatic daytime driving lights, you have to manually switch the headlights on and off, and the rearview mirror doesn't autodim.

Sounds like you have a lemon there, I'd be glad to take it off your hands so you can find something that at least works...

 

It only gets 8MPG !!!! suck on that prius crowd . LOL

 

The cup holders are MIA too as is the Bluetooth radio technology.


That was one of the most ridiculous things I ever read in Car & Driver, was when they quibbled over a car not having cup holders. I let my subscription lapse shortly thereafter, never to be renewed again...

 

Can't find USB or SD card slots, infotainment touch screen is non functioning along with only 1 out of 8 speakers seems to be working and the clarity sucks.
Auto dimming rear view mirror is non-functional.
Key less entry with remote start is not working at all, even with fresh batteries and standing next to the car.

And some wisenheimer moved the fuel door from the side of the vehicle.

Is it the 10000W subwoofer that is working on yours? No wonder the clarity is bad.

One other thing: Called Oldsmobile Roadside Assistance the other day and the line was now a pizza shop. Ordered 3 pizzas from Detroit. Should be here any day.

The hybrid system doesn't seem to be working in mine either. If anyone else if having this problem, maybe we can work on a class action lawsuit.

 

For some reason my flip doors do not work!My transmission doesn't work right no 5th or 6th gear. Also wrong motor! I bought this with the LS package! Thought it would give me better power and use less fuel!

 

Traction control just plain sucks, hands free phone is malfunctioning, OldsStar never got installed and something is wrong with my mufflers my neighbors keep complaining that their windows are rattling when I start the car.

 

My steering wheel doesn't lock and I can pull the key out of the ignition while the car is running. When I hammer the brakes all 4 tires smoke and I can actually stop. All the stupid LED lights look like they are all incandescent because they lack that annoying ON/OFF blink. The little light in the side mirror that is supposed to come on to alert me that someones coming up on my side quit...now I actually have to look and turn my neck and everything...Im calling a lawyer cuz my neck hurts. The park assist quit now I have to parallel park it myself! When I get the *** end all out of line on a great hole shot the traction control wont assist me to correct the government mandated big brother dumb *** people protecting device. Which prevents Darwin and ambulance chasing lawyers from doing their jobs. The 1-2 and 2-3 upshifts all produce this scary neck snapping jolt which produces this noise of screeching vulcanized rubber and emits a strong smell of burning rubber....Prius Repellent I call it terrible stuff! All the spotted Owls will die now....
Also my girl walks into the garage and insists on walking up to my tail pipes to have a sniff of the lovely smell emanating from the pipes and from the gas fumes from under the hood. She wants to bottle this smell. I think I can sue someone due to her brain damage from huffing the higher ends.......OLDER IS BETTER!

 

Ok, I admit it. I am enjoying this thread. So, I 'll add a couple more.

The fuel injection system is all messed up. Every time, I step on the gas it sounds like someone turned on a Dyson vacuum cleaner. Sucking all that air can't be good for mileage.

The automatic headlight dimmer doesn't work. Someone misplaced the highbeam switch and put it on the floor. Almost wreck the car every time I have to reach down to push it with my left hand.
(Personally, I have always liked the foot switch better.)

 

I have to put my foot on the pedal to a varying degree to get mine to start. Someone stole my shoulder straps and airbags. My clock is those silly hands that I can't read. I can't find the CD player and there's only one lighter socket. The power locks and trunk release don't work, and I can't find the hood open handle under the dash.

My only real complaint on these cars is the seats are not as comfortable as new; nothing else bugs me about them, and that's only on like a 3 hour road trip.

 

Okay i guess i am going to have a lawsuit to get this lemon fixed! This was ordered with auto peddle adjust for my wife and it isn't working. The thing that really upsets me is my switch for my electric seat adjuster is missing.Where the hell is my seat bun warmer? It isn't working and my a$$ is cold!

 

Well,I pulled up to one of the charging stations at the yuppie grocery store and can't find my the plug, then some dick in a Leaf flipped me off!

 

Memories... 3? years back i went for yearly inspection with my current hobby-car ( '74 Volvo 144) and the women behind the desk started to moan FOR ME how its unfair that SMOG-test isnt required to cars that old even they pollute more than newer cars. I went speechless..
'78 was the year they started to require SMOG-test here.

 

You guys need to stand up for yourselves! Get to the Oldsmobile dealer right away and report these issues to your service manager. Together we can get these issues addressed. Although you might want to fix your time machine first.
