He made it to 93, and I loved him in everything he did. He was superb in "Field of Dreams," and we can't, of course, forget Darth Vader. I even remember him as a blind nursing home patient in an episode of Frasier. Excellent.
He spoke at my high school around 1980 right at the height of the original Star Wars popularity. An English teacher in our school had done summer theatre with him, I think in Matunuck, RI. We were a tiny school (there were 62 kids in my Senior Class), Each class went into the library in shifts throughout the day. He spoke about Star Wars and acting in general and answered many many questions. He was a total class act.......

I am an avid baseball fan. I still remember him in the Movies The Sandlot and Field of Dreams, Bingo Long and the Traveling Allstars. I believe he was a baseball fan at heart. RIP great man
