Wreck today in the Indy 500. Wheel detached from the car and went over the stands into a parking lot.
Someone would have been killed if it had gone into the stands.

The last time that happened, that resulted in the 72 Hurst/Olds being the pace car as no brand wanted to directly pace in 72 as the 71 Dodge product went into the stands and I think it killed some people.
No more celebrity pace car drivers after that, only retired Indy Car drivers.

Oh, my thoughts on Indy 500 seating. Up high, in the shade, in the beginnings of Turn 1. You can see Turn 4, the main stretch, Turn 1, the small straight to Turn 2, and Turn 2. Also, if crap happens, it's at the end of the turn, not at the front. I went to the 2012 race with my old man, and every wreck was in Turn 1.
