Yep, I thought I was the rocket man and wound up with a compound fracture and 3-days in the Oregon hospital, out-of-state of Course.
Keeps bringing back the last words of the Red-neck: "hey y'all watch This" !

That is how I feel as I cruise down the mountain on my snow skis. I feel like I own the mountain, and it sometimes does feel like I am Flying like the Rocket Man.
And that feeling is all good until the Ski Patrol slides up to me in the the lift-line and reminds me that if I don't choke the speed, he will pull my ticket.
I love the adrenalin rush of feeling like I am the Rocket Man. _ _ _ the skis are like rockets on our feet. hahahaha
