I was truck shopping

I was truck shopping this morning, looking to buy a new truck and taking my time.I currently own a 2004 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 4x4 needing to upgrade and I have a buyer for it when it comes time to sell it.I went into a Chevrolet dealership and test drove one, loved the ride and the way it drove.I did get a sales brochure on it too and know what I want. The salesman told me to wait for the 2013s,I may get a good deal on them. Then it was to a Dodge dealership, test drove a Ram 1500 with the hemi and liked the way it drove include the ride also.A Ford,I avoid and not a Ford person at all.Once again I was told to wait for the 2013s to come out,I may get a good deal on one.I am doing my homework on this and I was better of buying new instead of used.

My neighbor is about to trade his 2007 Ram diesel with 120k in for a 2012 one with a hemi - he likes the Dodges and had very good luck from his. He certainly uses it as a truck! They just get tired of the same vehicle after 5 years....

Believe it or not all the manufacturers build a very nice truck these days. It really boils down to preference.

I'm currently driving a 04 Dodge Ram 4x4 with about 165k on it. [work truck]
Besides it getting 11.3 mpg, it just got a new exhaust, manifolds back, as the converter was shot, and a rebuilt trans, burned up from towing. 360[?] mtr.
Company also has a 04 Chevy, 6.0, getting about 14mpg, about the same miles, 2wd, without any problems.
Also has a 05 hemi 2wd - just had a$1000 tune-up at the dealer!

truck

It is up to each person what they like. I friend of mine just bought a new Chevy 3/4 ton to haul his camper. When he went to put the camper on the truck, he found out the the bed was about an inch narrower at the back. His camper wouldn't fit. The dealer told him it was that way for aerodynamics. My truck is a Ford F 150. I will not buy a Chevy or Dodge. Of all the trucks out there. Ford has the most US made parts. I guess I am partial to stuff made here. But like I said earlier it is up to the person on what they want. As they are all good.

I have had a couple Fords, money pits costing me money.I had a 1997 F150 that blew out spark plugs out 6 times on 6 differant cylinders.I also had a 2003 F150 that blew out spark plugs also and the transmission went out 4 times.I traded my 2003 F150 in for the 2004 Silverado.I am a GM person and partial Dodge person.
