I must be getting old...

Local ABC affiliate has been blabbing about New Year's Rockin' Eve last couple days.

I must be either old or horribly out of touch, because the only artists I recognized were Cyndi Lauper and J Lo. Miley Cyrus doesn't even count as talent in my book.

Who the hell are these people?!🤨

I know I quit being the target audience many years ago. Miley Cyrus, is that as good as they can do? Pure trash.

The Dick Clark Rockin Eve Show was definitely nothing to get excited about last night... I actually had to switch channels from ABC to NBC... Although a little better from an entertainment standpoint still nothing like years past...

Solly I had completely forgotten that. Thanks for the memory. This was the first year in decades that my wife and I went to bed before midnight.

The onset of "grunge" and "gangster rap" was the end of good mainstream music. Mid nineties timeframe.

Have to admit it- I watched Guy Lombardo and the Royal Canadians from the Waldorf Astoria on New Years Eve on UTube. 1977 recording. Not the sharpest quality recording, but perfect for me. I'm not that sharp anymore either...... In bed by 10:30.

“Alternative” music. My alternative would be static!!

The classic rock station in my area is one that I have listened to since I was a teen. It’s recently started playing Nirvana and similar crap. No thanks.

I remember sock hops in the gym at the high school on Friday night after the football games. We would ask a girl to dance when a slow song came on.
