It's taken over a year for a speculative post about what happened, still we don't know what actually happened.

No police or insurance report seems to have come to light yet.

Maybe an act of God, aliens from another planet (not continent), deliberate vandalism, or even driver error.

Anyone got any facts yet?.

Actually, I just found a great new tea shop in Portland, Maine (only about an hour and a half from Boston, and nobody's wearing Indian costumes and carrying hatchets).
Sitting here drinking an excellent first flush Darjeeling right now...
