Happy new year!!!

Well, another year comes to a close, and I have to say for myself, I'm glad to see 2009 end!!! It has been one of the worst years all around that I can remember.

I know it's wishful thinking, but I really hope 2010 brings back a strong economy that gets people back to work and creates jobs for those who need them.

I'd like to see an end to all the fighting so our troops could all come home, but I don't think that is going to happen. Still too many crazies out there that want to see our country destroyed. So I will hope that our men and women fighting for our freedom stay safe!!

I want to wish each of you and your families a very Happy New Year!!!!

I hope all stay healthy and our financial conditions improve in 2010!

Anyone doing anything tonight??? I'll be at home, wishing I had something to do! Maybe Bluevista can entertain us with You Tube videos!!! LOL!

Be safe if you're out and about tonight... be safe if you're at home partying... no falling off the porch, or down the stairs or anything like that! LOL!

Happy New Year everybody!!!

Sandy

Happy New Year to everyone too!

Won't be doing anything special tonight, wife and daughter are sick. And, to top it all off, it's snowing here, again!

Good thing I got myself some more beer yesterday!

Happy New Year to all.

Nope, We never go out on amateurs nite.

I got my Poke marinating in the frigidaire, my blacked eyes peas soaking in a pot and my greens cleaned.

I loaned my new wood splitter to a neighbor and he jes brought it back, and borrowed my transmission jack.

I never knew I had so many friends til I got a hydraulic wood splitter.

The home fires are burning and plan to do absolutely nothing today.

Just sit by the fire and enjoy the day.

I hope 2010 is much more better too. It should be, I work for a large commercial bank in the midwest, and we are seeing things pick up from where they were last year. Business wise 2009 was horrid! We too will be hanging out at home this year too. To much craziness, and the rules for dwi are scary enough. Happy New Year to everyone, and all the best in 2010.

Happy New Year!

I'm not setting foot out there tonight, football and remastered Three Stooges shorts on AMC all day and tonight.

I'll probably be fast asleep on the couch by eight o'clock.

Redgoat's a wildman and will be wearing a lampshade on his head by then.

I may send a copy of my film to the Academy to be submitted in the evil twin category.

Happy New year's Eve to everyone! Be safe tonight and no matter how much you wanna pull the Olds out and light the tires up at midnight...resist I say! Resist! Ha!

I'm just gonna cap off a long week with a few cold ones, some friends, and hope that the rain and snow hurry up so I can Take my baby out for a nice long stretch after winter hibernation!

Cheers!

Almost time to ring in the TWENTIES.... TWENTY TEN that is. From then on, saying the year will be easier - no more of that "two thousand ---- crap.

I am doing nothing special, just staying home, drinking eggnog and sleeping early maybe. I have been watching back to back episodes of "Get Smart" for a few needed chuckles. Alice will be at home asleep early as she will be leaving on a small vacation tomorrow morning to see one of her friends. Hopefully flying on new year is better than flying on halloween...

It is cold and rainy here - I know how you guys and gal up north must feel.
I hope to wake up in a much better year. Aside from the progress on Lady and meeting Alice, and two fun vacations, the rest of the year was pretty much crap. I look forward to more fun, better weather, more car resto and economy improvements.

HAPPY NEW YEAR to ALL!!

PS - Col. W - very nice picture!!

My Wife, and 2 boys stay home every year...we have our annual "junk food till ya puke" night. We haven't had anyone actually puke yet but we have had some upset stomachs on New Years Day.

We're watching movies tonight and having cheese & crackers, celery and dip and stuff like that! We watched Paranormal Activity - it was pretty good once it got going. Very creepy!! Now we're watching Wolverine...or I should say Nicole and Larry are... I'm glancing up once in a while! LOL!! I'm going to try to stay up and watch the ball drop!

We got off work at noon today, so I came home and took down Christmas decorations from the yard. Have it all in the garage to dry, so it can be put back in the boxes and lugged back up the stairs and put away for another year. It looks so bare out there now! Will take down the tree tomorrow. We got up to 37 degrees this afternoon with a misty rain, but they are calling for more "shovel-able" snow coming in for the weekend in to next week. Yipee Skippee.....

The happiest of New Year's to all of you on CO! Juju and I out last evening for dinner w/friends from the NTOC, then on down to the Balcony Club to hear the Intangibles (my favorite - Funk 49, of course). Fun night, careful drive home about 1 AM. Don't know if it was our turning in "early", but there wern't many out, thank goodness. Really hope that 2010 is a better year for us all.

Well we're almost one the same page. But insted of crudites, I stuffed some my celery with pimento cheese and some with blue cheese/cream cheese mixture.

I'z got the Poke in de oven right now. In about 6 hours it'll be pig pull'in time. I'm gonna eat it blacked peas with chow-chow and turnip greens with Pot liquor to dunk your corn bread in.

I started it and got my pole finished, it's right in the middle of my living room and has spotlights trained on it.
I'm not single like Rob rod so I can't have female talent come over to demonstrate how to operate it that I meet at the club.
I guess I'll cover it with carpet and the cats can have a well lit scratching post with surround sound.

I thought that Cleveland's James Gang/Joe Walsh did Funk 49?

I did nothing which is the usual for me. Have not celebrated New Year's for at least 20 years , to me it's just one day passing into another. The new year is tax time and starting to get all that headache together. should be a little easier this year since i was on disability all year. the new year brings hope for less pain , if the operation is a success. and if it is then it may lead to another and another. Should be an interesting year at least.
here's hoping that everybody's buisness pick's up this year , though I am not sure about jamesbo's maybe there I should say here's hoping they choose you

Amazing how comfy it was, though a bit cold...

I did today what I always wanted to do on new years day - NOTHING! Of course I rested, and slept, and ate, and drank a beer, and slept, and watched a dvd, and drank eggnog, and ate, and slept.....................
After all that, I am tired... Time for a shot of Crown and hit the hay. Hey - lazy people get tired, too!

It part of the shoulder

I don't know why I thought everybody knew this, but a Boston Butt is part of Pig's shoulder

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Boston_butt

It's often used [in Gawga anywho] for BBQ. Of you can cooked it @ 300 for 6/7 hours and the meat will just fall off. and the meat will still be very moist.

Very Yummy
