The only better Mark Twain was Sam Clemens himself. If you saw his name in the cast, you could count on a good performance even if the movie/play itself was crap.

Wall Street 1987, salt of the earth character. Integral part to the movie, tries in vain over an over again to save Charlie Sheen's character from himself. Through his rise to his implosion.

I love slap stick comedy, Chevy chase, Loyd Bridges, and Leslie Nelson set the standard to which all others are judged. The serious no-nonsense delivery of their lines crack me up every time.

Hal Holbrook played a lawyer in Fletch Lives. I quote that movie (along with Airplane, and the Naked Gun movies) whenever possible.

 

I really liked him in Magnum Force, the second Dirty Harry movie. He played the bent police lieutenant.
