Gas prices today. How bizarre.

Still trying to figure out what Sheetz is doing. This was in Danville VA about an hour ago, 12/21.

Lot of local stations are $2.85/$2.90 range for 87 so Sheetz was a little higher on that, but I sure thought it odd all grades are the same price. Most NE around here is still all over top of $3.75/gal, no matter what octane.

Grand Marquis got 93 today. Maybe it will appreciate it!

Maybe they rigged it to suck it all out of one tank?

I'm assuming that you picked "super".

It was just easier for the 18-year-old kid at the counter to price them all this way.

Even more bizarre. Friend in Roxboro NC 30 miles southeast of here sent me this from the Sheetz there at 9pm last night, 12/21.

In 50 years of driving and buying my own gas I have never seen premium priced under regular. Not complaining but makes you wonder what's going on. DK if it's a holiday promotion or what.

This brings to mind a comic I saw in Mad Magazine many decades ago where a motorist was getting hi-test gas at a gas station, and down below it showed all 3 grades coming out of the same underground tank.

Makes you wonder.

It was fun while it lasted. Jan 2 it all went back to normal prices and 30 cents price spread between grades.

And, prices I note have gone up 10 cents a gallon in the last week, another big uptick ahead(?)
