Well I'm an old guy and I keep it simple when the wife is gone. I throw a rib-eye steak on the grill, bake a patato, make a small salad if if feel like it
Mix a drink or have a beer or two, then eithe catch a movie on a cable channel or if it's not to cold in the garage I will go out and work of the 48 Olds, but usually i hold off on the car until the weekend. Friday's are mostly kicking back after a hard work week

Donny.... Are ya familiar with the words of a great Toby Keith song......

"I used to be hell on wheels, back when I was a younger man.....
Now my body says 'you can't do this boy' but my pride says
Oh yes you can"
I ain't as good as I once was, but I'm as good once, as I ever was".....

I love that song!

Is it Friday?
I've been wet sanding my car all day, I hate cars.
I'm soaked and tired, my fingers look like Ruffles, rrrrrrruffles have ridges.
Some other elderly person may remember that commercial.

I've already consumed mass qauntities and didn't even know I was supposed to for this tread, I'm psychic.

My wife and I are alone for once, we don't know what to do.
Younger studious Dean's list daughter is out of state in college and older sister party-girl daughter is braving the snow and ice to hit the bars with her new mini-cop boyfriend. I don't know who she takes after.
I knew the lad as a tyke, he never grew since.

Today she actually told me his gun was bigger than he is.

Question really is, aren't you worried the gun might not shoot blanks???

Greetings to Sweden!

It is rainy and cold (30's) here in Dallas TX, so I grabbed a loaded pizza, went home, filled a double glass of wine, watched "The Goonies" for the thousandth time (most likely to satisfy my cravings of going to the northwest coast), checked in online, now gonna take a nap...
When will it ever warm up around here???
Saturday AM will be lazy for sure but it is supposed to hit 60, so I hope to go for a drive in the Olds in the afternoon (at least to make a beer run...... ) GF Alice will probably want to go also.

When it warms up, my Fridays are often spent ont he motorcycle...

I remember that Ruffles commercial and I'm not elderly! I can't roll the "r's" though. Nicole makes fun of me cause she can do it. LOL!!
You are just a man of many talents, aren't ya?? You can show me how to wet sand and then I can do my car instead of paying Don Sitts..... Someone told me I should have that done, but I won't mention any names... his initials are B T R

Another boring night over this way. I cleaned the bathrooms and have the 3rd load of laundry going. Larry had a few too many beers and got on the phone to his brothers and talked and cussed all loud and obnoxious. He finally passed out in his recliner and then woke up and went to bed. Thank ya Jesus!! Nicole went with friends to see "The Crazies" at Cinemark and isn't home yet.

Our tenant is moving out of our rental house, so we're putting it up for sale. Can't afford to make payments on 2 houses with the way things are, and Larry really doesn't want to rent it again. Real estate lady is coming tomorrow to take pics and put on the internet. It has a nice big garage out back. Would hold a couple cars easily if anyone is interested. Just throwing it out there......

Sorry to hear that Sandy, hope it all works out.

Friday nights with 2 little ones doesn't leave much car time these days. But it still is fun!

Well I'm looking to move up that way in June or July, but more along the lines of central West Virginia.

My Friday hasn't been much special. In auto collision, we were going to wash/wax and detail our cars, but thanks to the rain we didn't. I did have the chance to put the Thunderbird on the lift to rotate the tires. Tomorrow, I'm hoping to get outside and change the valve cover gaskets and clean it up nicely.

After school today, as usual, I had to work 5-10PM. I had my fiance over before work, to make work a little easier. Now I'm finally home, and intend to surf the Internet for awhile and go to bed. If I had some bourbon, I might make a drink or two.

Well, being the big spender that I am. I took my Lady-friend out for a fish dinner at a nearby Church. The Ladies of the Church are great cooks. Then we came home and watched a bunch of the Olympics I had recorded. What an exciting evening! How ones priorities change. Fourty-one years ago, I quit a job of three years when they told me I had to work Friday evenings. Fridays meant drag racing in the good weather and bar-hopping in the bad, alot of times both in the same night. Boy, those days are gone and at this age I don't miss them. Ken

Here is a late post (seeing as it is Sunday afternoon). My wife and I usually eat dinner out at a burger joint but sometimes we cook. Then I usually take her to our church that has a "nightclub" on Fridays that hosts local rock/country/blues/jazz/worship performers or groups and she spends the evening there until about ten. I go to the local VFW and meet with friends and we smoke our cigars and drink Miller Light (blech!). Then I pick wifey up about ten and we go home and hit the hay. This is will change when spring gets here as I will more than likely be spending more time with the cars.
