Another great gone. Cloris Leachman dead at 94. And damned hot when she was younger!

 

r.i.p. but 94 is a good run. I will be thrilled to make it that far, as long as I am still with it.

 

Young Frankenstein is one of my favorite of all time. Every time I watch it, I catch quick little phrases of puns. Every time Frau Blucher name is mentioned and the horses whinny, it cracks me up. I don't know German language but I read that Blucher refers to glue in German.

 

I love that movie !! ever notice the hump on Marty Feldmans back moved from left to right throughout the movie ?
"Abby Normal " Mel Brooks did the same thing with the mole on Richard Lewis's face in Robin Hood (moved it around) !! Mel Brooks a comic genius !!

 

Mel Brooks couldn't make a movie today. Someone would be offended.

That's the mark of a great comedian, to skewer everyone equally and make us laugh at ourselves. Funny is funny and Brooks is a master.

I don't see the censoring in YF or History of the World that much, but what the neeners have done to Blazing Saddles is criminal. The movie almost makes no sense now.

Back to YF, Brooks, Teri Garr and Gene Hackman are the only principal roles still alive.
