So let's start this thread off right. Do not bring skanky. Keep this on thread. Do Not post young etc. Post pictures of respectful anything. Cars and women either car show or whatever.
I met Shirley here at Firebird Raceway, I had pit passes from our Matco tool guy , I won a Shirley M tee shirt and had her sign it , she was carrying a little dog around with her, she made me hold the dog while she signed the shirt ! she was very nice as was the little dog.
This is a much more respectable picture than the others. Sure, she probably brushed her hair out, but she was dressed professionally, because she was there as a professional.
I know Jesse died in a crash, if I remember correctly she was either trying to back up her record, or improve her record, just curious if anyone determined what exactly happened?
No matter what, she was definitely a badass! Could fabricate and wrench on anything, hold her own with anyone, seemed like a very humble and down to earth person, and obviously easy on the eyes.
One of a select few automotive personalities I would have enjoyed meeting.
Lori Johns was awesome. She was sponsored by Jolly Rancher. Jolly Rancher used to be a Denver Colorado company. As kids you could smell the candy from blocks away.
Thank you for bringing Lori Johns up. She was an awesome force. Hole shot like 👍
Fact is that picture is from Bandimere Speedway. I recognize the lane and the port a potty.

Not Drag Racing persay but this is the car my stepdad drove to a land speed record of 218.288 mph. It now lives in the National Auto Museum in Reno NV (where I currently live).
Epicness...OK, it's not drag but it could be street drag....Either way epic. Raquel is a beauty...in a bucket, I didn't realize there was a car in the pic for the first few seconds! Just Beautiful!

I got the opportunity to meet Bunny at the Montgomery county MD Fair one year mid 1998. She was super friendly and loved meeting my kids. Such a professional.

Always loved this picture. Looks like nail head Buick.
