It has been nice Eric. I saw your thread on the bonded shoes. Back in the day
rear shoes seemed to last forever, depending on how many power stalls guys
would do.

Having lived just outside Dallas for a few years, I can attest to freakin Texas hot and humidity is worse than Arizona hot. (after all, it's a dry heat.......lol)

You think Dallas is humid? I guess it's all relative. I used to live south of Houston, and before that in southwest Louisiana. THAT was humid.

But back on topic, yeah, it's almost as if summer is here already. 80s in February???

The humidity in N Texas is tolerable compared to S Texas. I can't take it down there anymore.

PS wife spent two hours delay on the tarmac in Boise while they deiced her plane. Winter really sucks.... Tedd

The warm weather was nice here today - so much better shoveling snow when it's not freezing out, but the snow blower barely pukes when the temperature is above freezing, and slush is about a thousand times heavier than snow, so I guess it's a toss-up. I feel like I just went a few rounds with the champ.

All set now for the big snowstorm tomorrow morning!

I've been to Maine in the winter to spring working on airplanes. Not much to do, bowling and drinking.

Ayup. Whole state is dead.

I'm gonna go to Montana for a few months, so I can experience someone else's winter and not have to shovel snow, and come back before the summer. Anything for a change.

I saw on the news this morning the Northeast was preparing for a blizzard!
Man, that has to suck. We had a cold front come through last night. It's 50*
this morning.

Your getting what we got. There was a huge dip in the jet stream and we got a lot of snow they said it was from Siberia and went right across the country. We actually don't get much snow normally in Vancouver. The flowers are usually starting to bloom this time of year. But not this year....Good luck NE we're thawing fast today.

I did the Midwest for 25 years and moving to the Carolinas has been golden! Sure it gets cold and those southern snows and icestorms suck, but its temporary and only around a week or two. This weekend the D88 is getting out, top is going down and we're cruising in 74* after church on Sunday!

Winding down but staying put. Happy is good.

South Central Texas is where it's at boys. Yes, July thru Aug can suck but it's a sweet trade off if you ask me. Gives me a chance to sweat off the gained winter lbs. Here is what we got with the latest cold front.

I hate to say it but the Austin area and all around us is growing and growing, and there are no signs of slowing either. This pic is shown from the end of my street looking across the Colorado. Highway 2147 is just below, headed to Horseshoe Bay, where all the millionaires live and where we do a lot of work. These units went up inside 2 yrs. I will have to take a ride over to the Bay in the vert and take some pics.

Before Jerry Owens died, we used to take care of his retirement home along with Roger Staubach's. Pics to follow if you would like to see. Living along the Highland Lakes is great. The boat ramp is 2 blks. down, and I take my Skeeter out every chance I get. My wife is getting stronger and is in the middle of Girl Scout cookie sales, (Coordinator) and back to work full time. Life is good. God bless us one and all. Ya'll come see us!

We have another extreme cold alert here been a couple days now. Take the car through the car wash almost couldn't get out of the car after I got to work. Had to pull it in the shop to thaw and finish my coffee before I could get out.
Its February here in Mississauga/ Toronto.

Yeah, the Texas and Arizona guys gloat in the winter, then burn in the summer.

Indiana weather is pretty good. Ideally, I'd like to be maybe 50 miles south, climate wise, but it's good in the spring and fall, tolerable in the summer, and the 3 months of winter from December to March have about 2 weeks of assorted crap weather in them, the rest of the time, it's just some degree of cold.

Mild winter so far, so I'm grateful.

5 minutes with the top down and Deluxe seat belt buckles will brand you and black vinyl seats will sear the flesh on your backside.

I was down Austin way last year for the F1 Race. you have a real nice area , I would move there if I could. The winter in Vancouver was the worst in 10 years or more. Lots of snow and ice. I thought global warming was going to eliminate winter. Our usual winter is rain, rain, and more rain. One the positive side California should have a load of snow in the Mountains. Hope it helps their drought situation.

I'm not balding as of yet, however if I start to, I can say I was in Arizona for the summer haha. A G.M belt buckle branding on the hip wouldn't look bad!!

I remember iced up roads in Dallas in February, and heavy snow in Llano in March.
My friends who owned the ranch where I was staying in Llano had never seen snow there, they were away that weekend and when they got back it had all gone. I had to show them pictures before they were convinced I wasn't pulling their chain.
