Cool Wrecking Yard in Oregon

I saw Jay's post about the wrecking yard with old cars in Texas. That reminded me of one here in Oregon. About 15 years ago I visited a yard NE of Salem and SE of Portland near the town of Molalla ( Moe-la-la). At that time they had lots of 1940's through 1970's cars including many Oldsmobiles. I snagged a few items for the project cars I was working on at the time. But now I live 200+ miles away and haven't visited them in many years. I was surfing Craigslist the other day and found a listing for them, here's the pictures and details from the Craigslist ad:

They weren't giving parts away, but I thought the prices wern't crazy high. For those of you who don't have bone yards nearby, or any members who might be close enough to drive there and check them out. Here's the Craigslist ad plus the details I got from googling the name "Key Motors Towing & Auto"

"we have lots of Chevy car parts all years call and see if we have what u need 503 829 3800 key motors auto this is a old wrecking yard in molalla lots of projects cars to build come take a look or call
tues-wends appointments only
open from 9-5 thurday-friday saturday 9-3"

And here's a link to a map:

Well Rob, I'm still waiting for you to buy your retirement property in Oregon. Then we can put up a pole barn and fill it full of stuff heading to the crusher.

I confess, I have more spare parts than I need for my project cars. But you guys have been able to benefit from me watching Craigslist too

There is not a better person to do business with than John. His prices are actually too cheap some time. He makes our hobby more fun. Thanks John.

I was just down in Mollala last August and probably drove right past the place. I'll remember the next time I'm in that area!

Noone else includes a FREE creepy-crawly with every order, either!

Unfortunately the property I am in the process of getting will barely have room for a house and 3 car garage. On the flipside it has gorgeous ocean views.

However, the process has stalled after the title company unearthed an old deed from 2002 stating that the lower part of the property contained an old city dump from 30 years ago. Neither the city, county, or DEQ knows anything about it though...

Aw, Rob... it was just a LITTLE spider As much as I've tried to either hose off or blow out with an air hose three people have now told me they've had something crawl out of the part I shipped.

Amazing view, but I'd be concerned about the possible city dump. If the day comes that nasty stuff starts seeping out of the ground you might be responsible to dig it up and deal with a hazardous materials situation. $$$
