Cars are mostly called her because.......

Just reading some threads in several of the forums and a common thread is Just washed the old girl, going to yank the engine out of her and rebuild it. Took her for a spin today, washed her this morning. This goes on and on so I was wondering do we call them girls because:

1. They are beautiful
2. Cause us endless trouble
3. We love them
4. Always spending money on them
5. leave us stranded one day save us the next

add your comments to the list

They like attention
They have attitudes sometimes
They respond well to body rubs, waxes, and oils... (Interiors also!)
They like being photographed
Many flaunt attractive bodylines
Some like wearing their skirts...
And most love to be driven!

My she-car

For all those reasons and [at the risk of being politically incorrect]...'cause to this red-blooded Canadian, the thought of " boring out getting under, washing up,working on,rubbing down or sitting in" a MALE car just ain't gonna happen!!

x2 Just the thought of thinking of it makes me shudder.

Gentleman72nRob71 would sound pretty weird too.

Cars aren't always "she", if they're mean and ugly enough or trucks they're "bad boys".

I don't understand any "she's" and I'm surrounded by them, including three dogs and the cars.
It just lonely old me and the two stinkin' cats, and they're neutered.

I just know not to make a list or I'll be living in the barn, or end up like the cats.

My car is a female because if it was a male it would make me into something I am not. I love my car and it loves me back by being dependable enough to be a daily driver.

All my cars are male.

IMO a car is a girl if it's a manual tranny, because they are more diffcult to handle, except in the story of big rig trucks.

IDK, something that's been past down in my family i guess

My car is a female. 71 conv. She is always dropping her top. Just wouldn't be as nice if it was a male.

Muhammad Ali is male and pretty, he said so.

Does the pretty-bird wants a cracker? I think Boy George does too.

No joke about not being happy, I witnessed it in person.
The rumor is that "The Prettiest One" ran over the last guy that said something, where do you think the former bonk in the bumper and the messed up grills and stone guard came from?
Those aren't old parts, they're evidence.

Ask Bluevista?, now I know why I go about a hundred PM's in my inbox.

You guys.

Yes to all of the above and then some.....Normal heterosexual behavior dictates people are attracted to the opposite sex under most circumstances... Thats why guys refer to to their cars as my girl, baby, she, old girl etc.....

Well I still have not named mine officially yet but the girlfriend calls it tweety bird for obvious reasons. The mats came with the car and she won't let me change them so someone is going to steal them

OMG - my oldest sister would love those mats!!! She's like in her 70's and has a tweety bird towel over the tops of her back seats, a tweety steering wheel cover, tweety's with suction cup things stuck in her back side windows - and this is in an 84 or 85 ( I can't remember) Delta 88!! She loves her tweety's!! He is cute...

You NEED to get a picture of that (car included) and put it in your signature!

BTW, Lady bit me the other day when fastening my seat belt - I think she was jealous that another lady was with me also...
