Marlin model 1895 45-70 gov't and Ruger .45LC Vaquero. I carried both of these guiding elk, deer, and bear hunts. Very capable weapons.

Carry / home / shop: ParaOrdnance P-12/45 -
A Model 1911 .45 ACP piece, in "Officer's Model" size, but with an 11-round double-row magazine.

Not too big, and the grip is comfortably wide.

Carried the SIG P210 in A-stan, as well as the Colt Canada C8 IUR (integrated upper receiver).

Have shot the M1911A1, like it a lot better than the P210.

I generally mistrust the small calibers, so I'd go for 6.8 or 7.62 if I was given the chance.

Nearly all WWII weapons, especially the M1 Garand, hold a sweet spot in my heart, as well as the AK series.

It would probably be smart of me to list my love life since it I started huh? Currently, at the house I'm in the roomates arent fond of guns so Im not actually holding on to anything atm, but thatll change by this weekend seeing how Im moving back out to my good ol' farmland I loove 1911's and Dan Wesson make a pretty mean one IMO. Trusty 7 1/2" Colt M1873 Peacemaker's another one of my fav's. Drive nails and so easy to control, I learned to shoot off one when I was 8

I had a Johnson M1941 slip just out of reach for 4,500 (which was a steaal considering how much that guns actually worth), have two 1897 Winchesters that are teasing me atm, and Im also trying to get a hold of a VZ-58. BUT of allll the the guns in the world, there are very few that I hold as high as the hexagonal receiver Mosin Nagant 91/30. I truly believe that it is one of the best guns in the world. Best rifle in the world for sure in my eyes. I wanna buy 2 more lol

Do us a favor. Edit "gun n**s" to something that won't show up on Brady Campaign and other anti-firearms groups' search radar. Otherwise they'll be on here raising their usual stink and CO will be in their crosshairs (irony intended).

Don't have any diehard loyalty or preference to any of them though for a handgun I prefer a .32 to .38 revolver with about a 4" barrel. Got tired of tearing up my hands with semis. Yah, yah, I know they have a guard built in.

Shop Gun: Sig Sauer 1911 tac ops ( 4" )
Long Range: Properly scoped Springfield M1A Comp
Personal carry: Sig P226 in 40 (during the winter when I'm wearing coats to conceal the beast) Otherwise, I carry a Kahr PM9.
Home Defense: Sig P226 in 40
Postapocalyptic guns: I have a matching pair of stainless Springfield Loaded 1911's
(yes I know its ridiculous but theyre so cool!), An S&W 44 mag, a Mossberg 8 rnd pump shotgun w/18 inch barrell and tac light, and a rebuilt Yugo AK47. (that should do it eh?)
My favorite guns are my WWII guns. I have 2 original documented Colt 1911's (43 & 44), 2 M1 Garands One original piece and the other a nice rebuilt CWP gun, I also have a bunch from the other guys (mausers, Arisakas and Mosin Nagants), But those are just fillers for the safe. The old american war horses are the best! I've got a bunch more,...but trying to stick with the original list..Never thought I'd be talking firearms on this site,.. but they are a passion as well...

I've got a Model 29 with a 4" barrel. Sometimes I scare myself with that thing.

People think i'm crazy but i find the model 29 pretty accurate. (without even having to be a factory load)

Not sure what the 4'' version is like, but when i was buying mine down near Albany, the 8 3/4 was the same price as the 4'' so i went for that.

Is that the back of a browning silver hunter?

My old man just picked one of those up a show a couple weeks back, has amazing handling and is pretty quick.

Yeah, I find it surprising how accurate it is, too. And how nice the trigger pulls.

The thing about the short barrel is that the shock wave seems to be bigger, or closer - you can actually feel it hit you in the face when you fire.

The 3 on the left are brownings. They came with pretty nice furniture from the factory. The mod 12 is a 20gauge with solid rib and ivory bead 1930 serial number

Does the Mod 12 say "Nickle steel" on the barrel? Mine was my grand father's. It's a 20 gague and came with 2 sets of barrels,[29" modified [for doves] and 20' cylinder [for quail] the short one has a matted rib, the longer one does not. You may not be able to make it out in the pic, but it came in a canvas take down case with a wooden cleaning rod.

Yes, The barrels have the same serial numbers. The story goes, he traded it for a new fancy Remington auto [most likely a mod 11] didn't like it and traded back. Glad he did.

Back in his day [believe it or not] there were hardly any deer in south Georgia. But quail [Bob white] were plentyful. He used to kill enough quail in one morning, for a church picnic. And of course the dove shoots over peanut fileds kept the family fed.

I do feel this is good advice. The only thing I will add is something the gummint already knows. I do have my license to carry.
