Bastrop, Texas Veterans Show

This weekend several of us from the North Texas Oldsmobile Club (NTOC) attended the Bastrop Veterans Weekend Car Show put on by the Bastrop Area Cruisers. It was one of the best car shows I have attended and was a tribute to Veterans. There were about 300 cars there. The NTOC took the award for the best representation and yours truly managed to take a 3rd place in the pre-55 and older class. Here is a link to my photobucket of the pictures I took. Your will see one of the largest shopping carts you have ever seen and it is powered by a blown big block.

Very nice pictures, thanks for sharing. The HEB cart has been around for a number of years now, always impressive to see.

Is there a car museum in Bastrop?. I remember visiting one around there years ago, it had several European cars on display.

Roger.

Thanks for the pics! The weather scared me off but it looks like they had a great turnout to honor our Veterans.

No HEB??

rustyroger - if there was a car museum there I did not see it. Of course it was a pretty busy weekend.

Lonestar - there are no HEB's in the Dallas area. We have Central Markets but no HEB's. My wife wishes we did. I think there were about 290 cars entered plus the Bastrop Area Cruisers cars which were not judged. I think there was about 30 of those.
