hey Aron thx for the laugh about the 16 channels on the 8 track or was it 8? Mine have only ever had 4 but maybe you are counting left and right as separate tracks!

If four x 2 = 8 then why does four x 6 = 16? Seems like it should be four x 4. I admit I know almost nothing about music producing equipment. I barely understand how Edison's machine works!

Jeffery:
Glad you got a laugh out of it; memory isn't quite what it used to be, so don't remember how many channels/tracks/quads/etc. it had, just know it took a bit to get back to " Ol' Black Water, Keep On Rollin' "! LOL!

I have one of those quad stereo systems... It was made by Clarion.... One thing you have to remember is the tapes are recorded differently from the standard 8 track.... My system hasn't been used in years and is stored away, but IIRC the quad system tapes are recorded using 4 tracks per channel therefore you only have 2 channels versus the standard 4 channels on the normal 8 track player....
