Amen to the old days. I still have the want ad posted here in Denver for a true blue 68 Hurst Olds that had just been finished being repainted. Just needed to be put back together. Extra heads. Extra block. Three real 68 Hurst Olds carbs. Two real distributors. It was sick. I had nowhere to keep it. It was either 1500 or 2000. That was probably 1986-ish?
When I bought my 70 in 1985. It had been in all the newspapers out here forever at 2000 dollars. I was in the hospital and could walk when I got out. First day that I could walk I went to look at it. I had known of the car for years. I paid 1500.00 dollars as it sits. I needed a good cleaning. Waxing etc. This picture is it's first day home. Great story behind the car. Sad I got screwed out of it.
If you look close you can see my brother's white 70 W-31 in the door.
PS: That isn't rust on the fender. Previous owner got a little crazy with rust prevention. Should have seen the door. Looked like he was chasing a moth with brown primer.

Anyone who lived in LA will remember 'The Recycler'. During the 1980s, Muscle Cars could be had for cheap. 396 Chevelles, Stage 1s, 442s, 428 CJ Mustangs, Hemi cars, Z/28s, Boss 302s, etc. Yep, those were the days...

I had a friend that had a friend who's Dad bought a 62 409 ragtop new. Black car. Red interior. Four speed car. That car rarely left the garage. It looked brand new. I wonder what ever became of that car.

I'm from Lebanon, PA. Don't remember the car. But at the tender age of 10 I wasn't allowed to venture far from home - and that address was outside the boundary. A few year later was a different story, but car must've been gone by then. And I know a Dave Brandt, but I think he'd have been too young to own that car in '78.
My grandparents used to live next door to an Olds dealer. He had a new H/O on the floor and was always trying to sell it to my dad. Wonder if this is the one?
