'68 Cutlass S video

Took the car out and the dog wrestled the wheel away from me again. No animals were hurt or frightened in the making of this video. Watch it, you'll like it. Turn it up, the flowmasters sound really good!

nice, sounds great, looks like a nice place to cruise around, and a really nice place for the car to sleep

That's a mean sounding Cutlass! Over on the Oldsmobile central web site it sounds like you caught a third. SWEET!

These GoPro cameras are a real treat. I watched a demonstration of it on the web. I was sold. Thanks for the comments.

I loved watching those center caps bounce up and down when you're squishing the tires down with the torque on the shifts.

What a .fun car.

I used to own that car several years ago. It was an automatic then and was one of the BEST driving cars I've ever had (and I've had many). I bought the car from the fellow who "built" it as a W31 clone (many, many things were incorrect but nonetheless still a very good car) in his backyard garage. That car originally came from a "little old lady" in North Carolina and was sold by Tom Mack. The guy I got it from (who I'm still friends with) made the transformation and decided to do something else---he now owns an AWESOME 'Cuda 440 six pack (again done in his home garage). I sold it to a friend, then another friend owned it, and he sold it to another friend, and he took it to the Atlantic City classic car auction. This all happened several years ago. When I had it, I ran Cragar SS and Goodyear F70 and Goodyear N.O.S. L60 (which I still own). I sold it with both sets of wheels and ended up buying the Cragars back. If the current owner wants to contact me, feel free to do so, I still have some photos. Until next time..... Dave.

Well. I'll be. You never know what you'll get when you post something. I have completed the transformation. The car is now a 4 speed with a nice 12 bolt with 3.73 gears. I had the motor gone through and put a set of Edelbrock aluminum heads along with their cam and intake. That is a whole thread. The trouble I went through to do that included grinding the head into the water jacket to clear the fuel pump. It has 347 hp and 388 ft lbs of torque at 5200 rpm. I had the motor dynoed before it went in. I changed the seat covers and the carpet but otherwise the interior is stock. The car has 64k on it now. I found the build sheet in the door and it said it was a 2 barrel powerglide car. Is this the same car? I bought it from a guy on Long Island in 06, I think it was 06. The car had NEW wheels on it when I got it. Trim rings and all. Just beautiful. It also had bird nests in the front quarters that I had fixed by my paint guy. The car is a blast to drive. When I got it I knew I had to put the banger in it. The Ram Air was there and everything else so why not. If you could send me some pics I would love it. Did you put the stripe on it? Thanks, Jim

As far as I know there is only one model of the GoPro camera. I love it. I gotta do my Vette with it. That will be like a road course though. The Cutlass lights the tires so easily it is my burnout car. The Vette, I drive.

In Oak Park, it looked like you could have been in the southwest suburbs but just as well could have been the Northeast. Some day we all need to meet up somewhere

No, I didn't put the stripes on; Bob Marcelino (the fellow I got it from) had them painted on. Those miles should be accurate as I kinda remember somewhere in the 60k range when I had it. I'm almost positive they were the rallies that went with the car and yes, the wheels and tires were perfect, and the trim rings were new. I was talking to the guy I sold it to today and told him it is now a 4-speed and he commented on how GOOD that car drove. I'm surprised the seats and carpet needed attention; they were near mint when in my possession. Call me anytime at 410-206-9427 and I'll pass along some photos via snail mail. Check out the video of my W31 that was recently posted---also driven by an "OLD DOG" (me)!!! Until next time..... Dave.

Hahaha, awesome. The interior developed a split in the passenger seat and I just had them both restuffed and sprung. The tracks were painted too. The carpet was nice but next to the new stuff it looked bad. I love the vid of the W-31. Ask me about the guy who asked me if mine was a W-31 when I call you this weekend. I will forget otherwise. It is too long to tell here. See ya.

I bought the kit from Summit. Pre bent pipes etc. Whatever they give you in that set is what I'm running. Thanks for the props. I have a very good friend who lives in Printer's Row. Who knows?
