09 Fusion Left Front CV Axle
So when I changed the front struts on our Fusion I noticed a lot grease on the frame. Closer inspection revealed a damaged inner Cv axle boot.
Drove the car for a few weeks with no issues.
so I ordered a new drivers complete CV axle and installed it.
ever since the install I have noticed slight vibration from the engine / transmission from stop to around 30 mph under acceleration, no vibration was present or noticeable before.
I went under to check the new axle and proved there is up and down movement at the inner cv joint. Is it possible I have a new defective axle?
Not happy about maybe doing the job again.
it doesn’t make any noise when turning.

Probably not a balanced axle shaft. I replaced both CV front axles on a 2008 Hyundai Santa Fe with inexpensive axles from Rock Auto and have the same issue as you. These replacement axles are smaller diameter than the original and do not have the balancing pads that the originals have.
