'73 Delta 88 heating
Hello,
My '73 Delta 88 has had the Comfortron disconnected by previous owner,
the car has been converted to right hand drive, & a fibreglass dash has
been made, it has the windscreen vents etc, but no duct work under the
outlets. All the duct work for the air con is there. This comfortron setup
seems fairly complex, am I better off taking it out & fitting a simple heater,
or maybe trying to re-connect & see if it works OK,
regards, Cus

There's no reason not to try to reconnect the Comfortron, provided that the parts are there, but if that doesn't work, I'd recommend getting some parts from a regular heating system and switching over to that.
That being said, I believe that some of the vacuum actuators used by the Comfortron system are unique, and would have to be replaced in order to get a regular system to work.

Fibreglass dash been padded & covered in vinyl, the whole conversion
would of been a pretty neat job in the day, I'm not sure if it was done in
US or here in Australia. I have the glove box & other under dash panels,
they were in the boot.

The master cylinder & booster is a tight fit up against the comfortron,
they have used a smaller diameter booster than the normal standard type,
about 50mm smaller, the steering box seems to fit in OK, I'll send some
pics soon,
