wheel color
Just want to double check on this. On a '68 442/Cutlass with a white lower body (top is black), the wheel color on wheels with dog dish hub caps should be BLACK and not white, correct?
Normally the rims should be body color, but I'm pretty sure in this instance it's not.
Thanks.

No exceptions like that. Should be lower body color with hubcaps. Here's the details from the PIM. Showing '69, but '68 is the same. If you can't read it, e-mail me (wmachine@shubes.net) and I'll send a bigger file.

Wmachine, I actually have that printout, so I'll be able to check it here at home. I'm not sure why I thought they'd be black. I guess I just thought having white rims might be strange. But, should actually look pretty cool with the redline tires. Thanks.

OK, I have that '69 printout. However, there's something telling me that a '68 or '69 white car did not get white steel rims with the dog dishes. Can anyone please give me proof of this? A pic, an original car they've seen? Something? I just don't want to be a doofus and paint the rims the wrong color. I still think they kept them black on a white car.
Prove me wrong!! haha.

Tom, if there were no instructions from the factory to paint them black on a white car, then how do you think they got black? Watch out for those voices....
Seriously, it is easy to remember seeing black, because most *were* painted black because most came with full wheel covers, options N95, P01 and P02.

Haha. I fight them on a regular basis.
I guess I've never NEVER seen a white wheeled car. It doesn't mean they don't exist, I suppose. Just seems weird. And REAL easy to keep clean. haha.
