Patch panels for 68 Delmont?

I know that for my 68 Delmont convertible everything is hard to find - but are there are any body patch panels available for these series cars? I don't really know a lot about the Olds and how they named their models, but to me it looks like the Delmont and delta (and even the 98 series) essential have the same body?

Mainly looking for good metal to replace the lower section of rear fenders behind the wheel wells. It's pretty flat piece but still a patch panel sounds easiest route to fix it.

I'm assuming full quarter panels are nonexistent?

I scrapped a rustfree 68 98 LS 4dr because a guy needed the floorpan. Not sure if 4dr panels would fit a convert but many pcs survive to this day.

There are NO repro panels for your full size. There isn't enough demand for a manufacturer to tool up to make them. You can't even get floorpans.

All 1968 Eighty Eights are the same platform. Of course, 2dr, convert, and 4dr all use different quarters. Ninety Eights have a different wheelbase and different rear quarters, so anything aft of the firewall is different. The dash and sheetmetal forward of the firewall will interchange with an Eighty Eight, accounting for trim differences among the different models.

Thank you. After looking at more Olds pics I see what you mean regarding what will fit. Since I'm only really looking for panels to fix the lower section of quarter panels, do you think a piece from a different car would work? The part I need is south of the body angle where the "door ding protector" trim piece would be at, but on the rear where there is no trim -- it's a fairly plain piece of metal, but has a slight radius to it. I guess I could try and hand fab it if necessary.

Also, who are the best parts sources for misc items, like interior things, should the need arise in the future? A parts car? Lol.

The ability to cut patch panels from a different model or body style depends on the exact shape of the sheet metal. No guarantee.

In my experience, I always need to get a parts car for any unusual models that I own. Usually the parts car ends up being in better shape than the original and the two often swap places.

What you described is pretty much what I'm dealing with - lots of sentimental value attached to the red Delmont my dad owned for decades, but it has some bad rust areas where trim is at and especially in the door jamb at hinge area. He did buy a parts car for the bumpers and trim pieces, but even though this White car does have a bad quarter panel from a hit, it seems more rust-free and even has some better items like factory AC and power windows. I think a body swap might be too much for me to do on my own in a garage setting. I guess we'll see once I get them shipped to me and I can start tearing them apart and see what's hiding underneath.
